Barlink

BarLink is a software for manufacturing units that needs individual marking and traceability on each unit of the product. BarLink can run as a client/Server application or as a standalone installation.

BarLink prints labels on Zebra printers, collects and reports information of traceable products in a local database. Each manufactured product can be defined with an individual-unique serial number. The use of barcode labelling makes the input of data simple and correct. BarLink supports marking for “single product” (boards), “combined product” (cabinets), packaging and makes it possible to use customer specific labels. With BarLink you can also remark and report altered or repaired parts that is included in a “combined product” with a reported structure. By using BarLink you can gain higher security and comply with the Ericsson requirements. It’s also possible to create non-reported structures and later on combine them while reporting, changing structural data on already reported items: like changing revision, altering individual parts, deleting reported parts etc.
In an Outlook environment BarLink can use Mail via MAPI to send and request information to a master traceability system for example the Ericsson Tracy database. It is possible to process, send and receive such information as scheduled tasks.

It is possible to add so called Synonyms on each or some produced serialnumbers, like Ethernet-address, IP-adress etc. Synonyms may be added automatically from a preset counter or entered or “scanned” manually for each produced serialnumber-label.

BarLink is delivered with a generic component which makes it possible for you to use BarLink even when not manufacturing products for Ericsson. You can use it for printing labels with your own layout and mark Your products to keep your local traceability.
BarLink's LiveUpdate functionality and our support/upgrade agreement makes it easy to keep your software updated with the latest version.

The included Barlink Report center makes it possible to create simple printable reports on production statistics, more report types can be created with Crystal Reports.

The liveInfo function keeps the user informed on f.ex. the availability of new versions of Barlink. The LiveUpdate function makes it possible to install the new versions via Internet.
